    A casual “thank you” would be Arigato (a – ri – Ga – tow), equivalent to “Thanks” in English.
    The G is capital because the Ga is emphasized

    A more formal “Thank you very much” would be Arigato Gozaimasu
    (a – ri – Ga – tow go – Zaw – ee – mas) The u at the end of either very quiet or not heard at all
