    Hi,

    good question…

    If you represent a timeline in a graphic way on a chalboard etc. it’s definitely “Zeitstrahl” i.e. “time beam”.

    Everything else becomes a bit more cumbersome, I’m afraid. Like
    Der zeitliche Ablauf – the chronological succession.
    Der zeitliche Verlauf – the course of events in time.
    der weitere geschichtliche Verlauf – the further historical course of events (i.e. in Alternative history)
