     Well, I just figured out that this sentence can be translated in an other way too, depending on the “you”

     if “you” is used in plural and not singular, so that “it was wonderful meeting you” means “meeting you all” the correct German translation would be:

     Es war wundervoll euch diesen Sommer zu treffen. Wir wünschen dir und deiner Familie Frohe Weihnachten.
